My Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty desire me to forward herewith, for the perusal of Mr
Secretary Chamberlain, a copy of a letter from Lieutenant
the Honourable A.L.0.Forbes-Sempill, in command of
H.M.S."Tweed", reporting his having chased and
recaptured the launch "Yuen Hing", which had been seized
by pirates in the West River.
2. Their Lordships have expressed their
appreciation of the judgment and energy displayed by
Lieutenant Forbes-Sempill on the occasion, and their
satisfaction at the conduct of the crew of the Steam
cutter belonging to H.M.S."Tweed", who took part in the
operation.
